Labor Day Weekend

My precious Kentucky kids!
Levi with his yellow cupcake

Josiah wasted no time eating his!

Pig tails and pink cupcakes!

When we got up on the hill at the park to watch the fireworks....of course we had to have ice-cream and sno cones and glow lights!

Arriving on the hill and waiting for the fireworks to begin!

Posing in front of the ice-cream truck....such a hard decision!

The view from the top of the hill at the park was beautiful. You could see Cincinnati and Kentucy both...we sat right along the river. The festival is called River Fest and takes place every Labor Day weekend!

One of the pretty Rock benches climbing the big hill up to the Park! 3 cuties!

I always love Labor Day weekend, so much going on! Of course our weather could have been nicer....Rainey and cool....! Saturday morning Started the Annual Claude Akins Memorial Golf Scramble. Claude Akins was a western movie star from Bedford. He used to host the tournament and would play, he passed away about 15 years ago, and they have continued with the tournament. Over 400 golfers golf in the event. This is a picture of Chase's team and they got 2nd place! Sunday after church we left for Kentucky to visit Jennifer and her family. When we arrived Jason had BBQ ribs, baked potatoes and corn on the cobb waiting for us! He is an awesome cook! After dinner we packed the cooler and headed to Covington,KY for the annual River Fest Fireworks Display. Climbing the big hill to the top is no easy task, but the fireworks are always awesome! We always enjoys spending Labor Day with the Speers!
