Brush with Fame Game-Kenny Chesney
This was the 2nd time I met Kenny Chesney, this was taken at the Gibson County Fair July of 1996. The very First time I met Kenny was in Evansville, IN in February of 1996, he was opening for Alabama. The first time I saw him I said " This guy will never make it!" as you know...I don't know much! I didn't even bother to have my picture taken with him that first time! So dumb!
This was in 1997 in Louisville, Ky on Kenny's Tour bus....we had so much fun that evening, he was new enough to the business that he was still fun and enjoying the fame! Randy of Alabama was on the bus too and we had pizzas ordered in! Those crazy Alabama days....so much fun and so many memories!

Labor Day Weekend
My precious Kentucky kids!
Levi with his yellow cupcake
Josiah wasted no time eating his!
Pig tails and pink cupcakes!
When we got up on the hill at the park to watch the fireworks....of course we had to have ice-cream and sno cones and glow lights!
Arriving on the hill and waiting for the fireworks to begin!
Posing in front of the ice-cream truck....such a hard decision!
The view from the top of the hill at the park was beautiful. You could see Cincinnati and Kentucy both...we sat right along the river. The festival is called River Fest and takes place every Labor Day weekend!
One of the pretty Rock benches climbing the big hill up to the Park! 3 cuties!
I always love Labor Day weekend, so much going on! Of course our weather could have been nicer....Rainey and cool....! Saturday morning Started the Annual Claude Akins Memorial Golf Scramble. Claude Akins was a western movie star from Bedford. He used to host the tournament and would play, he passed away about 15 years ago, and they have continued with the tournament. Over 400 golfers golf in the event. This is a picture of Chase's team and they got 2nd place! Sunday after church we left for Kentucky to visit Jennifer and her family. When we arrived Jason had BBQ ribs, baked potatoes and corn on the cobb waiting for us! He is an awesome cook! After dinner we packed the cooler and headed to Covington,KY for the annual River Fest Fireworks Display. Climbing the big hill to the top is no easy task, but the fireworks are always awesome! We always enjoys spending Labor Day with the Speers!Sunday, August 30, 2009
Corey and Jacey's Reception
Cutting the cake!
The drink! What a wonderful evening we had celebrating Corey and Jacey's marriage! Lots of family and friends came to share in their love! We had a fun time dancing and whooping it up! Since they were married in Gatinburg, alot of friends and family were unable to go to the wedding, so they had the reception to celebrate! It was alot of fun! And little Cutler came home with us and spent the night and slept the whole night!!!!
