The Happiness Project

Ok Girls, time to get started! Opinions needed! How do you want to do this, the book is actually set up so that each chapter is a month, do we want to read that chapter and work on that project for the month, or read a couple of chapters each week???? Totally up to all of you, check out the book and let me know, we will begin Monday! Also keep in mind, we only have a week left in January, so we would begin February real soon....what do you think?

Happy 79th Birthday Joan!

Today is Joan's (Penny's Mom) 79th Birthday! Darcie and Linda Green took her to lunch. Then Dad, Darcie and Joan came for dinner and cake! I invited Corey, Jacey and Cutler to come over so they could see how precious my little Cutler is! We spent the night looking at my Scrapbooks, especially my new Shutterfly book! Jacey has decided to arrange a marriage for Cutler and Camdyn...she thinks they are the perfect match!

Happy Birthday to my cousin Jamie and to one of the dearest friends that I have ever had! Just want to tell you how precious you are to me! You are fun, full of energy and life! You bring smiles and laughs to everyone! You are the best wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, aunt, sister, cousin...etc....that anyone could ask for! Enjoy your day! The Happiness Project

A word from the NON READING LIBRARIAN! I first saw Gretchen Rubin, Author of the Happiness Project, on the Today show. She seemed so happy and full of life. I recall the story that she told of having to ride the city bus everyday with her young child, she said it got so old and boring....and one day it hit her when the little girl said..."Mommy look at that those kids playing in the snow" She then realized, this is my child's life, her memories of her childhood and I need to make the most of each moment! That hit me hard, how many things to we hurry through everyday just to get it over with, and with my kids almost grown and on their own....I wish I had slowed down and enjoyed more! Anyway, she spent a year trying to sing in the morning, clean closets, fight right, read Aristotle, and generally have more fun, and now she has written the book! I am really excited to read it! I got mine yesterday! I thought you all might like to join me and we could read along together and do some blogging about our thoughts on each chapter??? Any thoughts? Google the book and see what you think! Don't we all need a little more happiness in our lives??? Have a Happy Day!

Go Colts!

Go Colts.....sorry Cardinal Fans, I was hoping for a Cardinal/Colts Superbowl! Jacey and Cutler came over and watched the game! Jacey left and went and watched the 2nd half with Corey and their friends and Cutler spent the night with us!! He is precious! Chance was home for the weekend and Chase was home to watch the game! It was fun having everyone at home, doesn't happen very often!

Happy 14th Birthday Sable.....Sable's best friend Macy Nikirk brought in a cookie cake for her! Sable is Chase's Macy's little sister! Sable is a beautiful talented young lady!

It's Moving Day!

Friday morning we headed out in the frigid cold snowy weather and moved Chance to Indianapolis where he will begin classes Monday at IUPUI. I was a little teary most of the day, but Chance is so excited about his new adventure, it is hard to be sad. I just pray that God keeps his loving hand on him everyday!
