Our last day together....we did a little shopping!

What a wonderful time we had together! It is so fun spending time with family! Chicago was wonderful and exciting! We were able to do alot of sightseeing and managed to get in a little shopping too! My cousin Bethanie's twins turned 1 yr. old and we were able to celebrate their birthday! We did alot of jumping on trains, buses and taxis! Which is a whole new experience for a girl from Bedford, IN! Hopefully, we will all be able to get together again soon....family time is precious!

1st Day of School

Happy Day.....I thought Chase was going to get down on the floor the night before and kick and scream! He did not want to go back to school! Not that I really did either...but I was trying to be mature about it! haha We had such a fun summer of traveling...it was tiring...but we both hated to see it end. With the new school year brings all the hustle and bustle of the daily schedules...which aren't always fun! But we are just hoping for a good year and we will make the best of it! Summer is just around the corner!!!!

Our last weekend before school begins.....my cousin Janine and her family were camping at Spring Mill....so we decided to go down and have a campfire dinner with them! The twins and Novalee were home from KY, so we grabbed Mamaw Margie and headed down! We had alot of fun catching up with family and friends. And of course...Cutler just keeps getting cuter!

MISS INDEPENDENT

Jade Wagner....our niece on Matt's side....we are so very proud of Jade, she is getting ready to start Graduate School this fall at Ball State University in Muncie, IN. Jade has spent the past 4 years studying abroad in Australia, Italy, New Zealand, France...and many other countries. This girl knows where she is going and nothing will stop her! We are so proud of her...Jade lost her little brother Jarrett in a dirtbike accident in 2000, he was 8 at the time and would be a senior this year. Jade has dealt with alot....after her brother's death, her parents soon divorced. More determined than ever...she kept her grades up and off to Ball State she headed where she took advantage of every study abroad program offered. She has worked her way through college and just bought this brand new Mini Cooper all on her own. Her mother and I always laugh....Jade will NEVER need a man to take care of her...she's got it going on!!! Her dream is to work with Universities all over the USA developing Study Abroad Programs....what ever she wants to do...Jade will do it! Go Jade!

No Complaining here.....We here in Indiana are ready for some HEAT! It is summer...give us some 100 degree days! Don't think it reached 100, but it was hot and humid! The day started off with the Couple's City Tournament and Otis Park...Shauna and I went out and watched awhile and then I headed to Jacque's to pick up the twins. It was sooo good to see them. They started Kindergarten on Thursday...which I can't believe....but they had so much to tell me about their new adventure! They loved school and loved riding the bus! We headed to the mall and I let the pick out some new school clothes....they went for a SpiderMan T-shirt! haha We then headed to Shauna's to swim for awhile. Then they got their very 1st haircut in a salon...I have always cut their hair, but it was time to get a Big Boy Kindergarten Haircut! They looked adorable! We then headed home and had dinner, then Jacey, Corey and Cutler came over and we made some homemade ice-cream! Cutler's favorite! He looked like he had grown so much since last week! He had fun watching the boys play video games...he wanted to play so bad! Nothing like a day with family and friends!

Randy Owen.....from the group Alabama...now a solo artist after the supergroup...retired! Girls....face it..."you aint got nothing on me on this game!" This is my thing! I have loved Randy Owen since 1982....followed the group since 1986....and have had soooo much fun! I saw Randy again just this past June at his farm in Ft. Payne, AL. These are just a very few of the many pics that I have of Randy! We have had so much fun over the years....going to concerts...making weekend shopping and girls weekend out trips! The country music group is the top selling country music band ever....and record sells just behind ELVIS and the BEATLES! Not only is Randy very talented, but is truly a wonderful person and has a wonderful family! I got to meet Randy for the very first time in Feb. of 1996, in Evansville, IN. We were staying at the Holiday Inn....we had gone to a show in Evansville at Roberts Stadium...and guess who their warm up act was...KENNY CHESNEY...first time out on the road! The next morning we got up to have breakfast at the hotel...and in walks Randy! Well...I almost fainted....and he was so nice and posed for tons of pics with us! I will never forget that day...needless to say...I don't think he ever forgot us...how could he?????
